Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) organized a dominant show when they defeated Punjab Kings for eight WICKETS in qualifier 1 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 in Mullanpur. After choosing to play first, RCB launched Kings Punjab for only 101 races at 14.1 overs. The decision of Captain Rajat Patidar de Campo first worked perfectly, since the RCB bowling players took total control of the game. Marcus Stainis was the top scorer of Punjab with 26 races. For RCB, the young leg spinner Suieasth Sharma impressed with three WICKETS for 17 races, while Josh Hazlewood picked up three for 21, Yash Dayal took two for 26 and Bhuvneshwar Kumar obtained one for 17.

Chasing a small goal, RCB made it look easy with Phil Salt to the head. The English mass scored 56 races of only 27 balls when RCB reached the goal comfortably and reserved a place in the IPL 2025 final, which will be its fourth appearance in the history of the tournament.

RCB now has history on your side while looking to win your first IPL title. In 14 seasons since the playoff format began, the team that won the qualifier 1 won the trophy 11 times. Last season too, Kolkata Knight Riders won qualifier 1 and then lifted the title. So, this trend gives RCB a strong reason to believe that this could be his year.
