In a recent development, a former Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) star who won the Indian Premier League (IPL 2016) title with the Orange Army, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. The 34-year-old took to his social media accounts to confirm the news about the same.

Right-arm fast-medium bowler Siddarth Kaul posted a heartwarming message with a nostalgic video showing photos from his childhood playing cricket to his growth over the years in domestic cricket and finally in the national team, while sharing the stage with some of the most important players. Indian stars.

Kaul wrote: “When I was a boy playing cricket in the fields of Punjab, I had a dream. A dream to represent my country. In 2018, by the grace of God, I received my 75th India cap in the T20i team and my 221st cap in the ODI team.”

Siddarth Kaul announces retirement from All Cricket

Siddarth was a key member of India’s U-19 World Cup-winning team in 2008, which was captained by Virat Kohli. Although he showed potential in age-group cricket, his early career was marred by a series of injuries. Between December 2007 and February 2012, he played only six domestic matches in various formats.

In 2012, he began to show signs of better fitness and finally regained his rhythm the following year.

Kaul was signed by SRH for the 2016 IPL season and played a crucial role for the team the following year.

He made his T20I debut for India against Ireland on 29 June 2018 and then made his ODI debut against England on 12 July 2018.

After his stint with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Siddarth also played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. However, ahead of the 2024 IPL season, he was released by RCB and was not sold in the auction.
