Punjab Kings (PBKS) faced a great setback in the middle of the premier season of India (IPL 2025) with the Australian terrain Glenn Maxwell. While the franchise has not yet made an official statement, the words of Captain Shreyas Iyer confirmed it more or less.

Speaking during the launch of the currency of his party against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Iyer revealed that Maxwell will miss the contest due to a fractured finger and that the franchise has not yet decided on a replacement.

For not versed, PBKs has also lost another player abroad at the beginning of the season due to an injury to Glenn Phillips. Pbks did not appoint a replacement for Ferguson.
