3 players who could replace Ruturaj Gaikwad injured in CSK Ft. Former Delhi Capitals

We take a look at three players who could replace Gaikwad Routura in Chennai Super Kings.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has suffered a significant blow with its regular captain Ruturaj Gaikwad that is ruled out from the Premier League of the India 2025 (IPL) due to an elbow fracture. In the absence of Gaikwad, MS Dhoni will return to lead the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the rest of IPL 2025.

The Cricket Maharashtra player ends his short IPL 2025 campaign with 122 races of five innings, including two fifty. The absence of Ruturaj Gaikwad in the batting alignment will feel expensive and all the eyes will be who his replacement will be. We take a look at three players who could replace the 28 -year -old:

Prithvi Shaw

The former Delhi Capitals opener, Prithvi Shaw, was one of several players that was not sold at the Mega Mega Mega 2025 auction last year. The lack of consistency could be a concern for Shaw, who obtained only 198 races of eight games at IPL 2024.

Mumbai’s Cricket player had suffered a similar excursion in the Syed Mushtaq Ali 2025 trophy, scoring 19 races of nine tickets. His physical condition has also been questioned in the past. However, a new beginning is what the young man will need and under the guidance of Mrs. Dhoni, he will get exactly that. Not only that is an attack opener that can hit the word Go.

Yash Dhull

Yash Dhull statistics in the IPL (16 four -game races) may not tell the whole story. Like Prithvi Shaw, Yash Dhull is an attack batting option. The Superior Order of Chennai Super Kings has often had problems to convert the beginnings this season, and the winner of the U-19 World Cup could be a solution for that.

Ayush Mhatre

Ayush Mhatre is only 17 years old and has a whole race ahead of him. I could live a dream that all the candidates for Cricket players would have had, playing under the great MS Dhoni. In just seven tickets, Ayush accumulated 458 races of only seven entries for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare 2024-25 trophy to an average of 65.43. He scored a fifty -two centuries. For a young man, these are impressive figures and could have the opportunity to represent one of the most successful IPL franchises.
