Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally recorded his name in the coveted Premier League trophy of the India Premier (IPL) Tuesday night. They surpassed Punjab Kings in the final to win the title of IPL 2025 in front of a multitude of full Ahmedabad.
RCB finished second in the league stage with 19 points, winning nine games and losing four. Then they annihilated kings of Punjab in qualifier 1 per eight wickts. In his magnificent race towards the trophy, RCB had multiple players who offered crucial performances throughout the season. The chief coach Andy Flower and the team’s management built a cohesive unit, and the players lived up to their trust.
Waiting for the next season, there could be some players who may not be part of the team. We take a look at three of these players that RCB could launch despite the triumph of IPL 2025.
RCB is likely to release Liam Livingstone
The Royal Challengers spent INR 8.75 million rupees to acquire the services of Liam Livingstone. The English all -terrain, however, had an extremely poor season. He could score only 110 races in eight entries to an average of 16 while hitting 133. With the ball, he collected only two Wickts in five entries in an economy of 8.44.
After the poor way, Livingstone has also lost its place in the teams of the white ball in England. RCB would ideally want to free it and look for better alternatives in the next auction.

The replacement player Mayank Agarwal will return
Mayank Agarwal was taken to the side as a late replacement for the injured Devdutt Padikkal. The batter on the right had not sold at the IPL 2025 auction due to a couple of poor seasons. He played four Games for RCB at the end of this season, scoring 95 races of four tickets at an attack rate of 148.
Only one from Padikkal and Agawal can enter the XI game, which means that the latter could be released before the next auction.
Pacer rasikh salam could be released
RCB signed Rasikh Salam at the IPL 2025 auction for INR 6 million rupees. The rhythm of the right arm had only two opportunities in the season, in which he launched six overs. He could choose only a wickt and granted careers in a great economy of 11.66.
Rasikh was promoted as a young promising talent a few years ago, but has not developed as expected. With better options available in the market, it doesn’t make much sense to invest that amount. It is likely that the franchise allows you to go to release the bag and hunt better perspectives in the auction.
