He mentioned that batters could have added some more races. Dhoni praised the association between Dewald Brevis and Sam Curran, calling him excellent. He also noted that the team dropped some trapped, which could have helped them take wickts and reduce the speed of the opposition. In general, he felt it was a good effort of the batting unit.
“I think the batting, yes, it was the first time when I had put enough races on the board, but was it a pair score? I feel [we were] slightly short. “Then yes, a little demanding of the batters, but I felt that we could have had a little more. That association between [Dewald] Brevis and Sam [Curran] It was excellent. And I feel that we need to take some catches because that really helps take wickts, you can reduce the speed of the opposition. Apart from that, I feel for the batting unit as a whole, I felt it was a good effort, ”said Dhoni.

CSK was sailing towards a large total after a strong 78 -racing position between Sam Curran and Dewald Brevis. But things fell apart quickly once Brevis came out and Curran continued after scoring 88. The rest of the batter collapsed, and CSK achieved only 18 races in the last 14 balls. Yuzvendra Chahal changed the game with four wickts in 19, including a hat-trick. From 172 to 4, CSK withdrew by 190 in 19.2 overs, losing six Wickts in a short time.
Dhoni pointed out how not to finish tickets cost them properly. He said that in high score games, even a few balls can make a big difference. CSK did not face the last four deliveries, and four batters came out in the last second on themselves. In total, they lost seven balls without scoring, and in closed games, those lost deliveries really matter.
“To not forget when it comes to a high score game, we do not play the last four installments and the second last time, we take four batters, three other deliveries and in closed games, seven deliveries means a lot,” he added.
The batting has been an important problem for CSK this season. To find some way, they considered their superior order and gave opportunities to young players like Shaik Rasheed and Ayush Mhatre instead of older adults. The loss of Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad due to a shoulder injury in the middle of the season worsened things. The key players like Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja and Rahul Tripathi either managed to deliver, which hurt the team from the beginning.
