On an extremely transcendental occasion for Cricket fans worldwide, Villiers AB proteas legend has confirmed its return to Cricket. The South African veteran resorted to its management of social networks in X (previously Twitter) to share recent development.

De Villiers has been appointed captain of the Game Changers South Africa Champions and will lead the team in the second edition of the World Legends Championship (WCL 2025). The WCL is a top -level T20 competition that brings together the legends of Cricket withdrawn and not hired.

Reflecting on his return, said of Villiers in an official statement published by WCL,

“Four years ago, I retired from all the Cricket because I simply felt the need to play more. Well, time has passed, and my young children have started playing the game. We have been playing more and more often in the garden and, well, it feels as if some kind of flame has turned on again. “

The 40 -year -old man had retired from all forms of Cricket in 2021 with his last match for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in India Premier League (IPL).
