Mushfiqur Rahim made his announcement leaving Odi Cricket public on Wednesday, March 5 through his official Facebook mango.

Rahim made the decision to get away from Cricket Odi after Bangladesh’s National Cricket team faced an early departure from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after offering bad performances.

“I am announcing my retirement of the hate format as of today. Alhamdulillah for everything. While our achievements may have been limited worldwide, one thing is safe: every time I stepped on the field for my country, I gave more than 100% with dedication and honesty,” Mushfiqur published on the official Facebook page.
“The last weeks have been very challenging for me, and I have realized that this is my destination. Allah says in the Qur’an:” Wa Tu’izzu Man Tasha ‘Wa Tu’zhilu Man Tasha’ ” [And He honours whom He wills, and He disgraces whom He wills](3:26). That Almighty Allah forgives us and gives all the righteous to all, “he said.
“Finally, I would like to deeply thank my family, friends and my fans for whom I have played the Crick for the last 19 years.”
In particular, Mushfiqur Rahim had already renounced T20i Cricket after the World Cup T20 2022, but will continue playing the trial cricket for the country with the eye of playing 100 games in the purest format of the game, since it is currently in 94 tests.
