
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made a new mandatory rule for its players with central hiring.
According to the reports, the Cricket Board of Pakistan (PCB) has made it mandatory that each of its centrally controlled players play a minimum of a national tournament every time these players do not present for the national team.
The PCB rule similar to BCCI
This goes in line with a similar rule implemented by the Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) in which the hired players are asked to play the National Crick when they do not play for India. “It will benefit national long -term players and will be prepared for what to wait internationally,” said PCB president Mohsin Naqvi, in an important meeting he presided.
The new chief coach of Pakistan, Mike Hesson, the captain of T20i, Salman Ali Agha, Chief of International Cricket Affairs Usman Wahla and director of the National Academy of Cricket AAQIB Javed attended the meeting.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has also begun to work on the issuance of the new central contracts for the 2025-26 season while seeking to comply with the deadline of July 30. PCB has failed to fulfill that deadline in recent years.
The miserable record of Pakistan in recent CPI events
Pakistan has endured a few forgettable years in regards to the CPI tournaments. They have failed to qualify for either of the three finals of the World Testing Championship (WTC) so far. In the Trophy of Champions of the ICC 2025 that co-organized, Pakistan was knocked out in the group stage after finishing room in group A, and that also without a single victory.
Pakistan also suffered a group stage output 2024 T20 in the Antilles and the United States. His forgettable career included a loss of shock for the US. A year earlier, in the ODI 2023 World Cup in India, Green’s men lost the semifinals after finishing the stage of the league in fifth place with eight points of nine games.
Usman Wahla confirmed that Pakistan will be the host of South Africa and Sri Lanka in 2025-26 while making a tour of the Western and Bangladesh Indies.
