The Captain of India, Shubman Gill, put a masterful battery class while achieving a star century on the current EMG vs Indic 2nd test in Edgbaston. In particular, this was the second ton of law on the tour, after hitting the other during the first entries of the opening test in Headingley.
In the process, he also achieved a rare feat that labels it as the best dough on English soil. Gill reached the three -digit mark with a % control of 96.5, which are the higher statistics of any batter in England.

Shubman Gill is also now the third Indian captain with hundreds in consecutive evidence against England, after Vijay Hazare (Delhi and Brabourne in 1951-52) and Mohammad Azharuddin (Lord’s and Old Trafford in 1990).
