CSK denied the Drs called Dewald Brevis, loses the wickt after the timer is exhausted in front of RCB in IPL 2025

Dewald Brevis was fired by a first ball duck by Lungi Ngidi.

Chennai Super Kings batter (CSK), Dewald Brevis, was fired in a controversial way in the IPL 2025 match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Saturday.

How would have survived Dewald Brevis

In front of Lungi Ngidi in 17, Dewald Brevis was hit LBW and the referee delivered it.

Brevis then got involved in an argument with his partner Ravindra Jadaja, but when he asked the referee’s review, the DRS timer had apparently exhausted.

Interestingly, if Brevis had taken the review, the South African would not have been out. The monitoring of the ball showed that this impact was on Umpire’s call, while the ball lacked the leg touch.

CSK low to RCB, again

That was a great lost opportunity for Chennai Super Kings, since they went to Bengaluru Royal Challengers for two races. Brevis’ dismissal was not the only turning point in the persecution of visitors. At one stage, Chennai Super Kings was sailing with Ayush Mhatre (94) and Ravindra Jadaja (77) in the middle.

The two forged 114 races for the third wickt and seemed that Chennai Super Kings would have it in their own way. However, the teenager Mhatre was fired in 17, leaving the yellow brigade in 172/3. The next ball, the visitors lost Dewald Brevis, leaving them in a place of annoyance in 172/4.

The side led by Rajat Patidar jumped to the top of the IPL classification of 10 teams with 16 points of 11 games and looked well prepared for the playoffs. Chennai Super Kings, already eliminated, are still the bottom of the classification with four points of 11 games.
