Ayush Mhatre has an impact on IPL 2025 with CSK

Mhatre, who was agreed as a replacement for injuries for CSK Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, caused a great splash in the continuing League of the Indian Premier (IPL) 2025.

Mumbaikar, 17, has played only four games in the rookie season and has 163 races scored at a strike rate of 185.22.

Mhatre, which was not sold at the 2025 IPL auction last November, is now seen as a positive side for CSK that has remained in the tenth place of the table and are out of the playoff race that lost nine of the 11 games.

The arrival of Mhatre to the IPL seemed inevitable after his sensational performances for the Indian team under 19 and in his first season for the Senior team of Mumbai.

In the clash of the Vijay Hazare trophy against Nagaland, Mhatre broke the record of former Mumbai opener Yashasvi Jaiswal to become the youngest to score a score of more than 150 in the Cricket List-A. Mhatre scored a 181 fluency of 117 balls in that game.

In total, Mhatre accumulated 458 races of only seven games to an excellent average of 65.42. Its Ranji 2024-25 trophy was also fruitful when it accumulated in 471 races of 14 innings, which included a high score of 176.

Mhatre’s intrepid batting style led CSK to take it during the mid -season tests even though he did not make his senior debut of T20 for Mumbai.

More IPL stars in the T20 Mumbai League

At the T20 Mumbai League auction, Mhatre was the tallest offers player for a while before Sairaj Patil (INR 15 Lakh), Musheer Khan (INR 15 Lakh) and Atharva Ankolekar (INR 16.25 Lakh) were bought for larger offers.
