
Delhi Capitals defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore for six WICKETS on Thursday.
Delhi Capitals (DC) established a unique record after his six WICKET victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2025 tournament at Garden City on Thursday.
The victory meant that Delhi Capitals won its first four games of an IPL season for the first time. Before the match against RCB, the side led by Axar Patel had defeated Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings.
How DC defeated RCB
Delhi’s capitals led by Axar Patel won the raffle and chose to first sign against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) of Rajat Patidar. That decision initially proved to be a setback after the hosts promoted more than 50 scores in only three overs, with Phil Salt at full speed.
However, England’s hitter was fired in the room above, with the RCB score reading 61/1. Not long after, the hosts lost Devdutt Padikkal (1) and Virat Kohli (22) too. Rajat Patidar achieved only 25 races of 23 balls before being fired in 15. That left RCB in 117/6, but a 37 of 20 Tim David balls took the Challengers to 163/7.
RCB’s dream begins with the ball and how it was downhill
The hosts had a dream start with the ball. Bhuvnehwar Kumar eliminated Jake-Fraser McGurk and Abhishek Porel, while Yash Dayal saw FAF Du Plessis. The capitals were 58/4 following the Wickt of the Axar Patel pattern in the ninth. However, then the change came. Kl Rahul, a former RCB player, returned to chase them at the Chinnaswamy stadium with an undefeated blow of 93. Forged an undefeated position of 111 races with Tristan Stubbs (38*) in South Africa (38*), as Delhi Capital saw the persecution in 1.5 overs.
