The England national cricket team has suffered a major blow ahead of the upcoming Test series against the Pakistan national cricket team. The Ben Stokes-led team will travel to the Asian country for the three-match Test series, which will also be a part of the ICC World Test Championship.
The Test series between Pakistan and the Ben Stokes-led side will begin on October 7. Moreover, the first match of the series will be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan, followed by the second match to be played at the same venue from October 15. The series will conclude in Rawalpindi, which will host the last match from October 24.
With the tour of Pakistan just around the corner, England faced a major blow as young spinner Josh Hull was ruled out of the three-match Test series against the Pakistan National Cricket Team. The fast bowler will miss the series due to the quadriceps injury, which he sustained after the Test series against Sri Lanka.
The England and Wales Cricket Board confirmed the development on its social media account, stating: “Get well soon Josh, Josh Hull has been ruled out of our Test tour of Pakistan due to a quad injury.”
Get well soon, Josh 🙏

Josh Hull made his debut for the team in the recently concluded Test series against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. He was included in the squad after Mark Wood was ruled out of the series and then earned his Test cap for the team in the final game of the series against Island Nation.
Josh Hull performed well with the ball on his debut but unfortunately could not help his team win the game. The lanky spinner took 3 wickets in the first innings but failed to make an impact in the second innings as England suffered a disappointing 8-wicket defeat against Sri Lanka.
Josh Hull’s absence will be a big void in the touring squad for the Test series against Pakistan. Being tall, he could have proved useful on the flat tracks of Multan and Rawalpindi. Also, with Mark Wood gone, he could have been the captain’s go-to player in the series.
The ECB have not yet named Josh Hull’s replacement, but it is likely that they will name one soon. The board is likely to have a name similar to that of the young tall thrower.
England will come into the tour with some solid performances
The Three Lions come into the tour on the back of strong performances against the West Indies National Cricket Team and Sri Lanka National Cricket Team at home. They beat the Caribbean side 3-0 and then beat Island Nation 3-1.
The last time the Ben Stokes-led side travelled to Pakistan, they whitewashed their opponents and won the series by a 3-0 margin. They will be hoping to achieve the same result this time as well. Moreover, since Pakistan is in terrible form, they would be the favourites to win the series.
