He became the sixth oldest player to appear in the BBL.
Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star Dan Christian, in a rare incident in cricket, has come out of retirement and turned back the clock by showing a complete masterclass in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL).
Christian, who serves as Sydney Thunder’s batting coach, first displayed his batting pyromanias by registering a quickfire knock of 23 off 15 balls, during which he hit new Punjab Kings (PBKS) signing Xavier Bartlett for six huge 92 meters.
He then also contributed with the ball with a tidy display, picking up one wicket and losing just 25 runs in his four overs.

The 41-year-old all-rounder had to step in due to mounting injuries in the Sydney Thunder team after a nasty collision between Daniel Sams and Cameron Bancroft left both ruled out for a long period. They joined Tanveer Sangha and Jason Sangha in the treatment room.
Dan Christian reveals he is prepared for such an opportunity
Dan Chrisitan, who will join the likes of Brad Hogg, Peter Siddle and Shane Warne to take part in the BBL in the 40s, revealed he has been preparing for a similar situation.
As quoted by Fox Sports, he said: “I made the decision during the off-season that returning to the BBL or any other T20 league was never completely out of the question for me.”
Interestingly, the return made Dan Christian the sixth oldest player to appear in the BBL at 41 years and 247 days.
