He had the opportunity to prove his worth, and he did it with a strong blow against the Lucknow Super Giants.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru won a second place in the table of 2025 points of the Premier League (IPL) of India after an exciting victory against Lucknow Super Giants. Now they will face Punjab Kings in qualifier 1 on May 29 in New Chandigarh.

Chasing a massive target of 228, RCB looked in trouble after Virat Kohli fifteen fifty and then his dismissal. But the independent captain, Jitesh Sharma, changed the game with a bright undefeated blow of 85 races of only 33 balls, hitting eight four and six six.

Mayank Agarwal, who entered as a replacement for the injured Devdutt Padikkal, supported him well with 41 undefeated 23 ball races. Together, they added 107 races and helped RCB chase the target in just 18.4 overs.

Speaking to Star Sports after the game, RCB bat coach Dansh Karthik said Mayank Agawal had been clear since the beginning that he wanted to contribute in any way possible for the team. Karthik mentioned that although Mayank is naturally a starter, he was ready to hit in the middle order and do whatever necessary to help RCB.

“Mayank Agarwal from day 1 to join Cleared, wants to contribute to RCB. It is a starter, but batting in the middle, is happy to do everything,” said Dineh Karthik.

Mayank Agarwal was not chosen by any equipment at the Mega Mega 2025 auction and left without selling. But after Devdutt Padikkal was injured, RCB brought him as a replacement. This gave Mayank the opportunity to prove his worth, and he did it with a strong blow against Lucknow super giants. With the playoffs to come, RCB will wait for it to meet again when they face the kings of Punjab in qualifier 1.
