The quarter -final clash of Mumbai Ranji Trophy moved to Kolkata at the last minute
According to an Indian Express report, the BCCI made a last minute decision to move the quarterfinal match of the Ranji trophy between Mumbai and Haryana due to “inevitable circumstances.”
The BCCI Game Development Manager, Abey Kuruvila, informed both the Haryana Cricket Association and Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) of the change by email. The MCA received the communication on Tuesday night, stating that the Bengal Cricket Association will handle all arrangements.
“They informed us by mail that the Ranji trophy game between Haryana and Mumbai, which will be played in Lahli, has been transferred to Eden Gardens in Kolkata due to inevitable circumstances. The Bengal Cricket Association will be the host and will be in charge of all arrangements, ”said an MCA official.

Jammu’s Final Fourth and Cashmir
Although no official reason for the change of the place has been provided, it is believed that the fog and the inclement climate may have influenced the decision. Previously, the match between Jammu and Kashmira and Kerala moved from Srinagar to Pune for similar reasons, with climatic conditions that affect both games.
“We have a good infrastructure to organize the Cricket game, and I am sure it will be a great game experience for both teams in these conditions,” said the president of the Maharashtra Cricket Association, Rohit Pawar.
Mumbai, with the best test players in India such as Rohit Sharma, Yashavi Jaiswal, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer and Shardul Thakur, were stunned by Jammu and Kashmir at home after the Ranji trophy resumed last month.
However, the defense champions recovered with an overwhelming victory of tickets over Meghalaya, ensuring a bonus point that helped them advance to the quarterfinals.
With Rohit, Jaiswal and Iyer in the International Service, the Mumbai team is reinforced by Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube for the quarterfinal match against Haryana, who was classified after a 284 racing victory over Bengala, followed by a raffle against Karnataka. The match will begin on February 8.
