The former Wicketkeper-Batter of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Robin Uthappa, in an interview, praised the evolution of Shubman Gill as a Cricket player. The 39 -year -old spoke about Gill’s preparation and mental clarity. This occurs after the young man was chosen as the new test captain of India before the England tour as of June 20.

Uthappa emphasized the fact that the 25 -year -old could be at the receiving end of high expectations as a test pattern. I expected Gill to get a long rope to demonstrate his temper.

“My desire is that you have time to settle in the role of the Captaincy of the Test. He has the characteristics of a great captain,” said Uthappa.

“The clarity with which he talked about what he wants to do for the Indian Cricket was impressive. I felt he was talking to a 30 -year -old boy,” Uthappa added.

India has always been a power in the tests, from Kohli, which leads to multiple victories outside Asia, to Rohit shaping the next generation.

Captain Gill’s first task is a challenging tour of England. To add to that, the new test pattern of India has a new side to lead. But the talented hitter has shown that he has the potential to bring India to great heights.
