Indian batsman Virat Kohli was dismissed for a golden duck at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the third IND vs AFG T20I match. Kohli came out to bat after opener Yashasvi Jaiswal’s early exit in the third over of the Indian innings. Virat was trying to bowl the ball but it rose on his bat and went straight into the air. Afghanistan captain Ibrahim Zadran made no mistake and had a chance to put pressure on India.
There was a huge silence among the Bengaluru crowd as they watched their favorite batsman return to the dressing room. Chinnaswamy Stadium is like a second stadium for Virat Kohli as he plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore at this Indian Premier League stadium. Virat scored a lot of runs in Bengaluru and the crowd was expecting the same performance from the modern maestro.
Virat Kohli returned to T20I cricket after a 14-month break in the previous match and scored 29 runs off 16 balls at a strike rate of 181.25. Virat returned in his signature style and showed the brilliant form he has been in for the last one and a half years.
This was the last time the Bengaluru crowd saw Virat Kohli bat in T20I international cricket. India is all set to play the T20 World Cup 2024 which will take place in the US and West Indies starting June 2.
Going back to the IND vs AFG Third match of the T20I, the Indian cricket team will aim to win the match in Bengaluru and whitewash the Afghan team. India convincingly won the previous two games held in Mohali and Hyderabad and will look to do the same in Bengaluru. India won both matches by six wickets respectively and put up a dominant performance.
