The talented batter of India, Shubman Gill, has eclipsed the competition of Glenn Phillips from New Zealand and Steve Smith of Australia to win his third award to the CPI player of the month.
The award occurs after Gill’s excellent series of performances with the bat during the sweeping of the Odi series of India over England and a stellar century in the opening victory over Bangladesh in the Champions 2025 trophy.
For perspective, Gill ended up as the top scorer in England Odi with 259 races in 3 games with an impressive average of 86.33, while ending in the list of the 10 best scorers in the recent ICC event.
Speaking after winning the award, Gill said: “I am euphoric to win the Player of the Month of the ICC Men Men for February. Nothing gives me more motivation than acting with the bat and winning parties for my country. “
He added: “The period prior to the 2025 Champions Trophy was very crucial and I’m glad I could take it to the fullest.
