As the 2025 season of the Premier League of India (IPL) is coming, all franchises have begun their preparations in the camps of their team. A video of former Captain MS Dhoni and the SUV Ravichandran Ashwin caught the attention of Chennai Super Kings fans (CSK) on social media platforms.
Ravichandran Ashwin has joined Chennai Super Kings before the IPL 2025 season after being released by Rajasthan Royals (RR), who decided not to retain him at the auction. The team invested strongly to bring veteran spinning back all terrain, ensuring it for ₹ 9.75 million rupees at the 2025 Mega auction.

Ashwin began his career in IPL with the Super Kings in 2009 and played for the franchise until 2015. The veteran outside the Spinner has played 212 IPL games, taking 180 wickets to an average of 29.82 and an economy rate of 7.12, showing his vast experience. The 38 -year -old player recently retired from the International Cricket.
Meanwhile, the five -time IPL champions retained MS Dhoni as a player without limit before the IPL 2025 mega auction. According to the new retention rules, a team can retain a limited Indian Crick player as a limit if the player has not played International Cricket or has had a central contract in the last five years.

After ten years, Ravichandran Ashwin has met with Chennai Super Kings after the franchise assured him with a great offer in the mega auction last December.
A CSK fan turned to social networks X (previously known as Twitter) to share a video of MS Dhoni and Ashwin hitting together. The clip, which shows Ashwin giving Dhoni batting advice, quickly caught online attention.

Ravichandran Ashwin played 97 games for the Super Kings from 2009 to 2015. The off spinner has taken 90 WICKETS to an average of 24.22 and an economy rate of 6.46, with its best bowling figures for CSK, being 3/16.
With the bat, Ashwin scored 190 races in 31 entries at a 94 attack rate, with 23 as its highest score. He also contributed in the field, taking 20 trapped during his time with the franchise.
After leaving CSK, then represents Rising Pune Supergiant, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals.
Chennai Super Kings will begin the IPL 2025 campaign on March 23
The Super Kings will begin their IPL 2025 campaign against the Indian Mumbai Archirival (MI) at the iconic Ma Chidambaram stadium in Chennai on Sunday, March 23. After its inaugural match, the CSK led by Ruturaj Gaikwad will face Bengaluru (RCB) Ruturaj Gaikwwwad.
The team based in Chennai finished fifth last season, winning seven of 14 games in the stage of the League. They had the same number of points as the Royal Challengers Bangalore, but the playoffs were lost due to a lower net execution rate (NRR). Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) also had 14 points.
