According to reports, in what comes as a significant development, the International League T20 (ILT20) will avoid a direct clash with the SA20 tournament at the end of this year. In the last three years, both the ILT20 based in the EAU and the SA20 of South Africa have faced both teams that compete for the same group of international players.

According to a report in Espncricinfo, David White, executive director of ILT20, has confirmed that the main reason to upload the ILT20 operating system to obtain access to a “larger group of players.”

The 2024-25 edition of ILT20 will begin on December 2, with the final scheduled for January 4. The 2025-26 season of the SA20 tournament, on the other hand, will begin on December 26, 2025 and will run until January 26, 2026.

Players to IPL to get more preparation time

Separate windows for ILT20 and SA20 will also mean that IPL players will have more time to prepare for next summer tournament.

The ILT20 has used so far direct signings since the opening season was played in 2023. However, an auction will take place from this season with the auction for the next season that will take place in September.
