South Africa will expect to finish your 27 -year -old waiting for a CPI trophy when they face Australia in the WTC final.
The former Australia batter, Matthew Hayden, has predicted to Tristan Stubbs to be the South Africa X Factor player for the final of the ICC World Testing Championship (WTC) of 2025 against Australia.
South Africa and Australia will block horns in the WTC final in Lord’s from June 11. Proteases will seek to finish the drought of the 27 -year -old ICC trophy, since it won for the last time in 1998 when they obtained the ICC Knockout trophy.
Matthew Hayden in ‘X-Factor’ Tristan Stubbs
“I think someone like Tristan Stubbs can be a bit of factor X. Similar to the way Kevin Pietersen was on the side of England against Australia, who can leave, start dominating,” said Matthew Hayden in Star Sports.
Tristan Stubbs recently played in the warm -up of South Africa against Zimbabweans, in which he scored 58 races of 120 balls in the first tickets. He hit the number five in those entries, a place that has not hit so far in the longest format. However, it is likely that the 24 -year -old can keep that number five place for the final of the World Testing Championship against Australia.
Matthew Hayden on the great impact skills of Tristan Stubbs
In the recently completed IPL 2025 season, Stubbs played for Delhi Capitals (DC) and accumulated 300 races of 14 games at an attack rate of 150.75. Matthew Hayden acknowledges that Tristan Stubbs could be a threat to Australia due to his great skills.
“We have seen his batting skill through the IPLS. It is not that this has great relevance, but it is a very powerful unit. A very conventional batter of the ball. High and great position of the body and great hands with which he can hit the ground. So that it can be a threat,” explained the 53 -year -old.
