According to the reports, the ICC is exploring a new law in the domestic cricket.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is scheduled to test replacements for players suffering from “serious injuries” in first -class games since October for six months.
According to a report on the BBC, the complete members of the ICC will perform tests for similar replacements during a game, which also includes the time when players are warming up. Currently, similar replacements are only allowed for players suffering from a brain shock. For players who suffer from other injuries, the replacement player can only establish, and not beat or bowl.
“The substitute will not be played or act as Captain, but can act as Wicktkeeper only with the consent of the referees,” says Law 24.1.2 of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
What happened to Jasprit Bumrah in Sydney and how did the series affected?
The conversation point for similar replacements for “severely injured” players brings back the case of the pacemaker of India Jasprit Bumrah. Jasprit Bumrah had suffered a rear spasm during the fifth test against Australia in Sydney earlier this year and had to be forced to leave the game halfway.
There was no similar replacement for Gujarat Speedster. Even if there were a similar replacement, it is possible that you have not lived up to Jasprit Bumrah standards. The 31-year-old was the best WICKET carrier in the Border-Gavavar trophy series, with 32 WICKETS of five games.

However, the inclusion of a replacement would still have reinforced the bowling of the bowling of India and possibly maintained their hopes of leveling the 2-2 living series. India was behind 1-2 in that series at that time. However, India lost the Sydney test for six WICKETS and delivered the 1-3 series, winning only the first test in Perth.
Richard Ngarava’s back injury
Another recent instance was Richard Ngarava de Zimbabwe. During the unique test against England in May, Zimbabwe’s pacer suffered a back injury and left the field. Once he entered the field, however, he was denied the bowling since he had spent several minutes out of the field.
The referees will have their task cut if the replacement law becomes permanent after the six -month judgment period. There have been cases in which normal players have been brought to give some of the main players to rest between overs.
This has often been the case in terms of rapid bowling players, in which the substitute players are the reproduced of some overs at the time the main players rest. In other cases, substitutes can also be game changers when taking a capture or starting exhausts.
