Jonny Bairstow not sold at IPL 2025 auction

England star Jonny Bairstow has signed up for the IPL 2025 mega auction at base price of INR 2 crores. The right-handed batsman played for the Punjab Kings in the last season of the IPL.

In 11 games in IPL 2024, Bairstow scored 298 runs, including a century that helped Punjab Kings chase a record total of 262 runs against eventual champions Kolkata Knight Riders.

Bairstow’s IPL journey began in 2019 when Sunrisers Hyderabad signed him up. In his first IPL season, the keeper-batsman scored 445 runs in 10 games with the help of a century and two and a half centuries.

In IPL 2020, he scored 345 runs before scoring 248 runs in IPL 2021. The Punjab Kings entered him in the 2022 mega auction. In IPL 2022, Bairstow scored 253 runs before missing the 2023 season due to injury.

Bairstow is known for his aggressive batting at the top of the order and could attract several teams to the auction.
