Rohit Sharma had an animated discussion with the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants, Zaheer Khan, before the LSG vs Mi shock in IPL 2025.

The mass of the Mumbai Indians (MI) Rohit Sharma and the captain of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Rishabh Pant shared a moving moment before their clash at the IPL 2025 scheduled for Friday. Rohit Sharma was seen having a conversation with the Mentor of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Zaheer Khan on Thursday and it was at that time that Rishabh Pant approached and hugged Rohit.

In a video uploaded by the Indians of Mumbai, the former captain of the Mumbai Indians was heard telling Zaheer: “Jo Karna Jab Karna Maine Kiya Barabar Se, Ab Mereko Kuch Kuch Karne Ki Zarrat Nhi Hai (whatever I had to do, I did it correctly, now I do not need to do anything).” Pant immediately went up to Rohit and said: “Haanji.” However, it is not clear what the context of Rohit’s appointment is.

Rishabh Pant, who was released by Delhi Capitals (DC) after IPL 2024, was acquired by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for a record amount of INR 27 million rupees in the IPL 2025 Mega auction. The new team captain was appointed before IPL 2025, with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) having separated from his former Captain Kl Rahul.
