
He played for the last time in England’s unique test against Zimbabwe in May.
England has called the pacemaker Gus Atkinson his team for the third test against India that will take place in Lord’s since July 10. The Cricket Board of England and Wales (ECB) made the announcement shortly after its defeat of 336 races against India in the second test in Edgbaston on Sunday.
Gus Atkinson will return to England’s team for the first time since he suffered an injury to the hamstrings during the unique test against Zimbabwe in May.
England has also retained Jofra Archer on the team for the third test against India. The Pacero Sussex had been included in the England team for the second test, but did not play the game.
