The Mumbai Indians have signed the Punjab legs spinner, Ragu Sharma, as a replacement for the injured spinner of Kerala’s left arm, Vignesh Puthur, for the rest of India Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Puthur’s injury was not specified by the franchise, but the 24 -year -old has not played at IPL 2025 since the clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Uppal Stadium on April 23.

The right arm doll spinner, Ragu Sharma, will be his replacement, confirmed an official statement on Thursday.

“This marks the inaugural period of Sharma in the IPL. It joins me at its base price of INR 30 Lakhs of the Rapp list,” said the statement.

The Mumbai Indians are currently third in Table IPL 2025 after 10 games with six wins and four losses.
