The Men in Green won the recently concluded three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe by a margin of 2-1. They started the series with a shock 80-run defeat in Bulawayo, but made a good comeback to clinch the series by winning the next two matches by 10 wickets and 99 runs.
22-year-old top-order batsman Saim Ayub emerged as one of the best players in the ODI series and also bagged the Player of the Series award.

“It was similar to the last game, the pitch was a little slower today. We just see the ball and react, sometimes it goes out of bounds, sometimes it goes to catch it. We just trust the process and enjoy it, not everything is like that under our “We try to stay in the present and enjoy each other’s company.”
Saim Ayub, Aamer Jamal and Abrar Ahmed joined Pakistan’s T20I squad
Saim Ayub’s brilliant performance in the ODI series impressed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee as they included him in the squad for the series against Zimbabwe.
Along with Ayub, Aamer Jamal and Abrar Ahmed have been included in Pakistan’s T20I squad for the three-match series against Zimbabwe.
The T20I matches between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will be played on December 1, 3 and 5. Salman Ali Agha will captain the team in the absence of wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan, who has been rested.
Speaking after the ODI series win over Zimbabwe, Mohammad Rizwan said he was proud of the way his team bounced back from the defeat.
“It’s a feeling of pride. We lost the first match and the nation’s expectations are very high. But we had the confidence to bounce back. We knew we would face some pressure here, it’s always difficult outside in terms of conditions.”
