India falls short against Pakistan in U-19 Asia Cup clash
Pakistan set the tone in their U-19 Asia Cup group stage match against India in Dubai with a dominant batting display led by Shahzaib Khan. He scored a remarkable 159 off 147 balls, with five fours and ten sixes, as Pakistan reached 281/7 in their 50 overs.

The Indian bowlers had some moments of success, with Samarth Nagaraj taking three wickets and Ayush Mhatre taking two, but they could not contain Shahzaib’s fireworks.
In response, India’s innings struggled despite Nikhil Kumar’s valiant 67 off 77 balls. Naveed Ahmad Khan dismissed Kumar, leading to a collapse that left India at 190/9 in 40th place.
However, a resilient last-wicket stand of 48 between Mohamed Enaan (30 off 22) and Yudhajit Guha, helped by several failed catches, kept India in the game briefly. Pakistan finally secured a victory by removing Enaan, concluding the match with India falling short of the target by 44 runs.
