Punjab Kings batter (PBKs), Mitchell Owen, wins Australia’s call for the T20i series of five games against Western Indies in July. He jumped to fame with a sparkling penny in the Big Bash League 2024/25 and obtained periods of franchises in the Super League of Pakistan (PSL) and India Premier League (IPL).

Meanwhile, Jake Fraser-McGurk has been removed after supporting a damn patch with the willow in the international cryket and franchises. Other notable exclusions of the team are Marcus Stainis and Xavier Bartlett, who were crucial in the success of PBKs in IPL 2025.

Cameron Green returns to the T20I configuration, but will only be available as a batter as he continues to recover from surgery. Mitchell Marsh will lead the team after missing the previous T20i series against Pakistan in November last year.
