As Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 remains suspended in the near future, the approach will soon resort to the International Cricket, with India scheduled to tour England for a series of five -game tests from June 20. This series will also mark the beginning of India’s trip in the World Testing Championship 2025-27.

But before that, on the night of May 7, Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from Test Cricket through an Instagram story, which surprised everyone. This means that it will not be part of the Tour of England. Now, India will need to find a new batter and a new captain for the test series.

Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah are among Captaincy options, and Shubman will lead to the reports. Sai Sudharsan could be considered for the starter’s place.
