While the Rajasthan Royals (RR) won against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Guwahati, Riyan Para has been fined for maintaining an excessive slow rate. He has incurred a penalty of INR 12 Lakh for his team without completing in time against CSK.

The official IPL website issued a press release to confirm the violation of the Code of Conduct by Parag and its team. From the crime of RR in IPL 2025, PARG qualified for minimum excessive rate crimes.

“As this was the first offensive of the season of his team under article 2.22 of the Code of Conduct of the IPL, which refers to the minimum crimes of excessive rate, Para was fined 12 Lakhs,” said the official statement.

Rajasthan Royals threw himself second and had immense pressure in the last few overs, which can lead to the delay since a wide discussion and planning go before each ball.
