The news was confirmed through an official press release on the league’s website.

In a bid to strengthen the team for the upcoming 2025 season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has signed an explosive English batsman. The news was confirmed today via an official press release on the league’s website.

England’s Danni Wyatt will represent RCB in the upcoming season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2025) after a successful trade from UP Warriorz (UPW).

Wyatt, initially acquired by UPW in the auction for INR 30 lakhs, will now join RCB for the same fee.

With vast experience, Wyatt strengthens the RCB squad, having represented England in 164 T20Is, the most of any English player in this format.

RCB captain Smriti Mandhana also welcomed Wyatt with a heartfelt message.

Mandhana said: “Danielle is a game-changer and a phenomenal athlete. His skills and competitive spirit align perfectly with our team’s vision. “We are excited to welcome him to RCB and look forward to seeing the energy he will bring to the team.”

Danni Wyatt will bring a wealth of experience to RCB

Speaking of Danni Wyatt, she was part of the Women’s Three Lions team that competed in the recent Women’s T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where England failed to advance to the semi-finals.

The 33-year-old emerged as her team’s top scorer, amassing 151 runs in four matches at an impressive average of 50.33 and a strike rate of 124.79, her highest score being an unbeaten 51 against Scotland’s Kathryn Bryce.

After the World Cup, Wyatt traveled to Australia and is currently playing for the Hobart Hurricanes in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) and will bring a lot of experience with her to the RCB team.
