The Punjab Kings (PBKS) faced a heartbreaking defeat against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the final of the Premier League of India (IPL 2025). Playing a summit clash after 11 years, PBKs would have hoped to break the Jinx and win its single title, but instead it was RCB who realized the dream.
However, the only loss really does not define the PBKS campaign, which has been a formidable force that must be taken into account throughout the season. The side directed by Shreyas Iyer ended at the top of the points table after the league stage that serves as a testimony of pure talent that the team possesses.
Interestingly, much of its success has been delivered by its relatively young Indian nucleus, complemented by the experience of Shreyas Iyer and few stars abroad.
The PBKs coach Ricky Ponting also echoed the same after the defeat against RCB: “Maybe a little experience in that average order today could have helped us, but what I know is that we are going to have these younger boys in this team for a long time and I think they will win many games in the future”
Pbks decided to support their young talents and, despite the final loss, the future seems extremely promising for the franchise.
Opening duo without limit
The young inaugural duo of Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya has been a Linchpin in the PBKS batting alignment. The duo registered 532 races for the first wickt in 17 tickets between them, the fourth highest this season.
The LHB-RHB combination along with the fact that both players are only 24 years old, PBKs has its opening pair ordered during the next seasons.
In particular, Prabhsimran was held by PBK for INR 4 million rupees before the 2025 IPL auction while acquired Arya for INR 3.8 million rupees.
The left -handed Priyansh had a season of stellar debut, accumulating about 500 races (475 to be precise) while reached an explosive speed that plays 180, including a century and a couple of fifty years. Prabh, on the other hand, accumulated 549 races, with an average of more than 30 and hitting 160.

Medium order backed by the Indians who understand experience and talent
The average order of PBKs is directed by Captain Shreyas Iyer along with Indian batting talents such as Nehal Wadhera and Shashank Singh. The three have been seen in the upper touch with Iyer ending IPL 2025 as the highest scorer of the team with a season of more than 600.
Nehal Wadhera has also taken a step forward when the situation demanded and has demonstrated its ability to hit in phases and change the march accordingly.
For Shank, which was a mistake to buy at IPL 2024, it has really shown that “all mistakes are not bad.” It was a revelation last season that made it one of the two players that PBKs held for IPL 2025. And the 33 -year -old has strengthened, evolving one of the best businessmen in the business. In fact, he had the best numbers in the role of a finalist this season, scoring 325 races at a 65th average of RCB Sharma Sharma is the second in the list with 217 races.
In addition to them, PBK also have people like Musheer Khan and Suryansh Shedge on their list, which did not have many possibilities in IPL 2025, but they are definitely the best talents to take into account the future.
Lanza Head of India International The Bologna Department
The presence of Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal means that they have a spearhead for both rhythm departments and pace. Since the T20 format is especially complicated for bowling players, experience and cunning that the two internationals of India can cross the table are fundamental. ArshdeEP ended up on the list of the five best to take this season, while Chahal picked up his second Hat-trick of the IPL race, joining people like Yuvraj Singh and Amit Mishra to have more than one.
The PBK also have the talented Vyshak Vijaykumar, which can adapt very well to the conditions and boast of variations with their slower balls and cutters. Harpreet Brra is another option to turn on the list and can work together with Yuzi.
