
The former Captain of Australia, Ricky Ponting, appointed the legendary South Africa Allrounder Jacques Kallis as the best Cricket player in history.
Ponting, who has finished his career with 13,378 tests only 89 more than Kallis, said that there is none like the proteas great when it comes to having more than 300 WICKETS of more than 300 and also 10,000 tests.

“Jacques Kallis is the best Cricket player he has ever played. Full stop. I don’t care anything else. It has 13,000 tests and 45 hundreds. And 300 WICKETS. Any of those races is outstanding, ”said Ponting in the Howie Games podcast.
Ponting and Kallis faced 27 times in the tests, with Kallis obtaining their wickt six times. Kallis finished his career as the third highest rungetter with 13,289 in 2014 and has 292 chasing leather in his name.
“You can take 300 test WICKETS every day of the week, and you will take 45 tests 100. They have both of them. He was just a Cricket player born, ”added Ponting.

In Indian Premier League, Kallis has played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Kolkata Knight knights. He won the IPL twice with KKR in 2012 and 2014. He had also worked as KKR coach of 2015-19. The South African legend will return to the franchise for IPL 2025 as a batting coach.
