One of the best openers in India, Rohit Sharma spoke about his trial retirement and revealed that his father, Gurunath Sharma, was disappointed with his decision. While talking for the first time after his trial retirement, Mumbai -headed batter said his father has been a geek of the test and does not like the Cricket of the New Age.
Rohit, who provided his trade by the Mumbai Indians in the recently approved Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for the Mumbai Indians, announced his test retirement last month. The veteran batter was fighting with his shape in the format of the red ball and could not do much in the series against New Zealand and Australia. The situation became even more pathetic since he had to retire from the last test in Sydney against Australia earlier this year.
Who was not happy after Rohit retired from the trial cricket?
Rohit Sharma comes from a humble family history, since his father used to work in a transport company. His father has sacrificed himself a lot to give Rohit a healthy life.
