A brilliant shot by Pat Cummins ended Krunal Pandya’s promising knock in the ongoing match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bat first. However, the LSG batsmen could not justify their captain’s decision in the crucial game. Quinton de Kock got out for just 2 runs in the third over thanks to a stunning catch by Nitish Reddy.
Later in the fifth over, Sanvir Singh came up with another brilliant effort to catch Marcus Stoinis and sent him back for just 3 to reduce LSG to 21 for 2. Krunal Pandya was promoted to number four and hit the innings a lot- Needed momentum hitting a couple of sixes.
LSG, however, suffered another blow in the 10th over when Pat Cummins also dismissed Rahul. And in the 12th over, the SRH captain put in an impressive effort to return a well-placed Krunal Pandya. In the second ball of the over, Krunal Pandya hit T Natarajan’s ball towards mid-on and went for a quick single.
However, before he could return to the box, Pat Cummins quickly collected the ball and hit the target to return to Pandya. The LSG all-rounder departed after scoring 24 runs off 21 balls with the help of two sixes.
