Strongest SRH Playing XI for IPL 2025:
Travis Head Abhishek Sharma Ishan Kishan Nitish Kumar Reddy Heinrich Klaasen Abhinav Manohar Pat Cummins Harshal Patel Rahul Chahar Mohammed Shami Adam Zampa
Strongest points:
SRH have one of the most explosive batting line-ups in the competition. There are players who set the pace at the top and players who provide spin in the middle. There is depth in the batting unit. SRH has pacemakers for every phase, including death phases. They have one of the best players in white-ball cricket, Adam Zampa.
Weakest points:
Ishan Kishan and Nitish Kumar Reddy may be limited by the high pace and tough lengths. While SRH have Head and Abhishek, they would have liked to have a quality finger in the XI. Mohammed Shami is injury prone and if he gets injured, SRH’s bowling will suffer.
Should SRH play with two wristers in the XI?
Sunrisers Hyderabad have two quality wristers in Rahul Chahar and Adam Zampa. But the question is whether they should play both of them in the XI or bring in another specialist seamer, Simarjeet Singh.
Ideally, they would have liked a quality finger-spinner who could bowl defensive lines and lengths, but as they don’t have one in the team, they might be tempted to go with two wrist-spinners. Playing one of Head or Abhishek as second spinner can backfire.
Furthermore, SRH also have Nitish Kumar Reddy as another pace bowling option, so they don’t need another specialist speedster. Even Chahar’s recent returns in the league have not been encouraging, but SRH will still be tempted to start him.
