The SUV of the Super Kings of Chennai, Sam Curran, was appointed Friday as the Captain of the T20 of England Surrey before the explosion of vitality 2025.
The competition will begin from May 29, less than a week after the conclusion of Indian Premier League (2025).
Curran, who has been out of favor with the National Team of England since November last year. At 26, Curran already has 117 appearances for England in all formats and was a tournament player when they won the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.

In the recent edition of the T20 International League (ILT20), it appeared for Vipers Desert in 13 games and claimed seven WICKETS in an economy of 8.44. It was also its second highest and fifth corridor in the entire tournament with 387 races of 12 entries to an average of 55 and an attack rate of 134.37.

Curran had built his reputation in the shortest format, after having made his debut in T20 at the age of 16 for Surrey in the T20 Explosion 2015. He has played 79 games in nine seasons and has claimed 73 WICKETS in an economy of 8.55 and obtained 1,514 races at a strike rate of 136.27. He also has 11 fifty and one hundred in his name in the competition.
Last year, Surrey had reached the semifinals that surpassed the South Group with nine victories of 14 games. Curran played only five games in the tournament and claimed only two WICKETS, but starred in the bat, scoring 102 undefeated 58 balls in the victory against Hampshire.

While extending to the national side, Curran will return to a family environment with CSK in IPL 2025. Curran had won the IPL 2021 with the franchise during its first period between 2020-21. The left owner has played editions 2023 and 2024 of the IPL with Punjab Kings and was bought by CSK at the IPL 2025 auction for INR 2.4 million rupees.
