The star of Australia, Allrounder Mitchell Marsh, has been ruled out by the 2025 champion next month, confirmed Cricket Australia.
There were previous reports that Marsh appeared only in a Big Bash League match due to back stress fractures, but CA said he is suffering from rehabilitation.
“Mitchell Marsh has been discarded from the next Trophy of the CPI mentioned champion with pain and continuous lower back dysfunction,” CA said in a statement.
“The National Team Panel and the Medical Team of Australian men ruled out Marsh from the tournament with the injury that has not responded enough to rehabilitation. His Baja back pain broke out in recent weeks, which led the NSP to make the long -term decision for Marsh to complete a more widespread rehabilitation period, ”added the statement.
Marsh had for the last time for Australia in the Border Gavaskar trophy, where he scored only 73 seven -ticket races and claimed three six -ticket Wickets.

Australia hopes that the regular captain Pat Cummins can recover from his ankle injury to be ready for the Champions Trophy in Pakistan and Marsh’s last injury is a great blow.
“Marsh will now undergo a period of more rest and rehabilitation as part of his plan to return to the game. The NSP will meet to decide a replacement for Marsh in due time, ”said the statement.
The deadline for the final squadrons for the Champions Trophy is February 12.
