
IPL 2025 has been suspended for a week due to the political tensions of India-Pakistan.
According to the reports, the Cricket Board of England and Wales (ECB) has supported the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) offering them to organize the remaining Games of IPL 2025 in England.
The ECB makes contact with BCCI
This occurs after IPL 2025 was suspended for a week on Friday due to ongoing political tensions between India and Pakistan. According to the Cricket player, the ECB has contacted the BCCI with respect to England, possibly, the rest of the IPL 2025. “The Crick player understands that the contact has been made with the BCCI, after the 10 team tournament was suspended for a week after an increase in military tensions between India and Pakistan,” the report said.
Michael Vaughan about the possibility of IPL matches in the United Kingdom
The former Cricket player from England, Michael Vaughan, had felt that it would not be a bad idea for the rest of IPL 2025 in the United Kingdom.
“I wonder if it is possible to finish the IPL in the United Kingdom. We have all the places and the Indian players can remain in the test series. Just a thought?” He had published in “X”.
The IPL has previously been carried out on foreign soil several times. The 2009 edition of the IPL was completely held in South Africa, while a part of IPL 2014 took place in the United Arab Emirates. The Delayed IPL 2020 also took place in the EAU due to COVID-19, while the country also hosted the second half of IPL 2021.
The IPL 2025 party between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in Dharamshala was abandoned on Thursday due to the failure of the reflectors. However, just before the reflectors in Dharamshala, there were reports that some areas in Jammu were under an attack of Pakistan drones.
As soon as the game was abandoned, fans were asked to evacuate the stadium immediately, while the players were taken to security. The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was the 57th IPL 2025 match. Both teams remain in dispute for the IPL playoffs and are among the seven teams that compete for the four places available.
