Bracewell recently played an important role in the New Zealand finalist at the ICC Champions Trophy. It is one of the seven players of that team that will join the T20 team for this series. Daryl Mitchell and Mark Chapman will also contribute experience to batting alignment, since both were part of the Champions Trophy team.
Bevon Jacobs is not available due to IPL 2025 commitments
Several regular T20 players such as Devon Conway, Glenn Phillips, Lockie Ferguson, Rachin Ravindra and Mitchell Santner are not available because they are occupied with the IPL 2025 commitments.
