The Legend of Australia whips in ICC; They are called a ‘event management company’

The Australian legend Ian Chappell was very critical with the International Cricket Council (ICC) that described it as “Event Management Company” and said it needed a “not very good” label.

In its spuncricinfo column, Chappell criticized the CPI for not establishing a two -level system and said that teams such as Western Indies should be treated well.

“A system that includes promotion and descent is feasible, but there must be certain attached criteria before a team reaches the test status. Those should include: do they have a viable first class competition? Do you have legitimate land to celebrate five -day games? Do the land have adequate facilities? Are they financially stable? The 81 -year -old man wrote.

Test status only for votes of the CPI

Chappell pointed to the CPI for granting the test status of Afghanistan despite their political situation that does not present them the opportunity to organize parties.

“The majority of recent nations designated by the evidence do not come to comply with the reasonable criteria. For example, could Afghanistist celebrate a series of evidence in your country devastated by the fight? Does Ireland have a realistic number of standard test reasons?

“Even leaving aside the repredible treatment of the Taliban to women, the answer to these questions is: absolutely not. So why do they have a test state? Because in exchange for the state of the test they provide valuable votes of the ICC on important issues, ”wrote the former Australian captain.

He said such reasons have turned ICC into an event management company.

“The ICC is widely considered as an event management company. They must add “and not very good,” Chappell wrote.

The problem of the three great

Chappell felt that the presence of India in the CPI, as well as the large part of the income required by the Boards of India, Australia and England, is a problem that must be addressed.

“The great three, India, Australia and England, despite being the richest Crick nations, demand a large portion of the money divided between the cricket bodies and, nevertheless, they are agitated by an even greater part,” he wrote.

The Australian legend felt that finances are the most important reason for the honor of the T20 leagues worldwide, while it is in marked contrast with the construction of a four -day ecosystem that is expensive compared.

“It is extremely expensive to organize a four -day competition and, therefore, not much beyond the three great (India, Australia and England) can really afford the load,” he wrote.

“The Cricket managed by a competent ICC is an impossible dream. Hence the growing T20 calendar and the current programming scheme that affects the game, “Chappell added.
