“The media reports are speculative”: Diageo Basbishes reports the sale of IPL 2025 Champions RCB

There were rumors that Diageo sold a participation of IPL 2025 Champions RCB. The company, however, has denied rumors.

United Spirits, whose parent company Diageo is the owner of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), has denied the rumors of the sale of the franchise in the middle of the team that won its first title of the Premier League of the Indian Premier (IPL).

A Bloomberg report had previously said that Diageo was aimed at selling Royal Challengers Bengaluru, either partially or completely. Diageo is a company of alcoholic beverage based in London. The rumors of the possible sale of Diageo occurred only a few days after a Bangalore stampede took place during RCB’s victory celebrations in Garden City.

The company wishes to clarify that the reports of the media mentioned above are of a speculative nature and are not looking for any discussion,” said United Spirits through a statement as reported by Livemint.com.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Punjab Kings (PBKs) for six races in the IPL 2025 final on June 3 to ensure its single title. Punjab Kings had a rapid start in persecution with Priyansh Arya (24) and Prabhsimran Singh (26) forging 43 races for the first Wickt, but began to lose regular Wickts. Shank Singh (61*) was the only warrior at the end when Punjab Kings finished his tickets in 184/7.
