Nicholas Pooran of the Western Indies, the record holder for most races and appearances in T20is, announced his retirement from the International Cricket on June 10. The 29 -year -old news shared the news through his Instagram account. In particular, the left -handed batter did not play evidence for the Western Indies in his career.

An extract of its farewell publication says: “Using that garnet, standing for the anthem and giving everything I had every time I stepped on the field … It is difficult to express in words what that really means to me,” he wrote. “Having led the team as a captain is a privilege, I will always have close to my heart.”

Trininian’s trip has been a scrambled. Pooran faced a setback at the end of 2019 when he was briefly suspended after admitting that the manipulation of the ball during a match against Afghanistan. However, he recovered and was appointed Vice-Capitan of the T20 team around 18 months later for the series at Casa against Australia. He presented as a substitute captain when Kon Pollard was not available and took the team to an impressive victory of the 4-1 series.

In 2022, Pooran was appointed permanent captain of the white ball and directed the Maroon’s shirt to the World Cup T20 that year in Australia. After a disappointing first round out, he resigned from the paper.

He enjoyed an outstanding campaign when the western Indies co-elbited the T20 World Cup last year. Nicky beat Chris Gayle to become the main scorer of the nation in the shortest format. He also achieved his best personal score in the format, a 98 abrasor against Afghanistan.

In the course of his career, Pooran appeared in 106 T20is, scoring 2,275 races at an average of 26.14. He also played in 61 Odi, registering three centuries and in a World Cup.
