Varun Chakravarthy binds to RCB and Delhi Capitals Bowling players on the elite list after a five WICKET route in IND VS ENG 3RD T20I

He registered his second Tour of Five Wickt in the game, ending with the figures read: 4-0-24-5 to leave England staggering.

Varun Chakravarthy turned his network again during the third T20i between India and England in Rajkot, causing English batters to succumb to their higher variations. He lowered the tight lines and extended again, and the opponent could not choose him from his hands and continued to fall one after another.

He registered his second Tour of Five Wickt in the game, ending with the figures read: 4-0-24-5 to leave England staggering. With this five, Varun has joined an elite list of Indian bowling players, achieved by only two other players.

It becomes the third Indian bowling player after Kuldeep Yadav and Bhuvnehwar Kumar to have two five wickt sets in the shortest format. He has only taken 16 entries to reach this milestone, which shows how threatening it has been in this format.

Varun took his first five for South Africa in Gqeberha in November last year and today obtained his second to go to the registration books. Two other bowling players, Yuzvendra Chahal (vs. England in 2017) and Deepak Chahaha (vs Bangladesh in 2019), have taken a five Wickt route in T20IS.

Varun Chakravarthy seals his place in T20is after consistent actions

India has several quality players in the shortest format that have been consistent and offer different values. Four played in this third T20i against England: Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi and Varun Chakravarthy.

Even so, India has its largest weapon in Kuldeep Yadav out of the team, which makes the competition rigid for all spinners. However, Varun Chakravarthy should remain in the main XI, even after Kuldeep returns to the side.

He is his biggest wickt bearer and can do the work on any surface, as seen from his return in this format. Varun brings that mysterious factor, and its variations are too difficult to detect from the hands, causing even the best Spins players to succumb.

There is no justification to keep it off the T20I side, and the presence of Varun will provide India with two authentic Wickt carriers in the media. Varun and Kuldeep can be a couple that can govern the chicken coop in the coming years and help India defend the T20 World Cup next year.
