The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are ready to receive the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) tomorrow for their next clash from India Premier League (IPL 2025).

However, there has been a lot of speculation about the tone in Eden Gardens, especially after a confrontation reported between the KKR management and the curator after the first game of the IPL 2025 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), which the defense champions lost.

It is now understood that on the eve of the LSG party, the CEO of Kkr, Venky Mysore, met with the president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), Snehashosh Ganguly and the launch curator, Sujan Mukherjee. The franchise has demanded a launch used for the LSG match, which implies the one used for the previous game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), according to Revsportz. In particular, KKR had scored 200 against SRH in that game and restricted them to 120.

However, Sujan Mukherjee has denied the request, since the IPL rules require a gap seven days before a launch can be reused for a party.

Therefore, for the LSG game now, Pitch No.4 will be used, where the strip could be a bit slow in nature as the SRH game, but it is expected to offer a little more turn to help KKR spinners.

Talking about the Kolkata team campaign so far in IPL 2025, they have achieved two victories and so many losses in four games.

The team led by Ajinkya Rahane will be shooting for their third victory of the season when they block the horns with LSG below and win impulse in their defense of the title.

KKR is currently placed just outside the top 4 in fifth place with four points of so many games. LSG, on the other hand, is only a place under KKR in the sixth, with the same points, but a lower NRR.
