Virat Kohli has become only the second batter after Sachin Tendulkar to score 8,000 races or more while pursuing in hate. He achieved the milestone during the semifinal of the 2025 ongoing champions trophy between India and Australia in Dubai.

Sachin Tendulkar leads the list with 8,720 races while pursuing in the 50 -year -old format. At the time of updating this report, India had 141/3 in 28 overs while sought to pursue a goal of 265. Kohli (53) was undefeated with Axar Patel (5) at the other end. Shreyas Iyer was fired by Adam Zampa for 45 in 27. Previously, Steve Smith (73) and Alex Carey (61) had taken Australia to 264.
