Babar Azam

Pakistan national cricket team batsman Babar Azam did not put in the kind of performance he would have wished for in the first innings of the ongoing Test match against the Bangladesh national cricket team. The second game of the series between the teams is being held at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Babar Azam, who has struggled to get going in Test cricket, made a great start to his innings but could not continue. He came out to bat at No. 4 after the Pakistan National Cricket Team lost two wickets quickly and then tried to keep the innings for the team.

Babar looked solid at the crease and the way he was batting, it looked like he would pull off a big knock and take his team to a big total in the first innings. However, that was not the case as he passed away after the start and his wicket saw the Pakistan National Cricket Team lose five wickets quickly.

During his innings, Babar also had a very funny moment. The former Pakistan national cricket team captain premeditated a sweep shot against all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. The veteran batsman will play in the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament, followed by the Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy.

When Babar realised that he had been denied a sweep shot by Shakib Al Hasan, he kept the bat on the ground and then fell down. The video of the incident went viral on the internet and generated many hilarious reactions from fans.

At that time, Babar Azam was batting at 26th and after that, he could not get going as he soon had to return to the hut. The right-hander lost to Shakib Al Hasan in the 54th over and after that, the Pakistan National Cricket Team quickly lost wickets.

Shakib Al Hasan caught Babar Azam at lbw when he bowled an arm ball which hit the batsman on the pads. Babar Azam was trapped in his crease and could not close the face of the bat in time. The batsman managed just 31 runs off just 77 balls. He scored just two boundaries in his innings.

With his wicket, Pakistan national cricket team was left reeling at 179/5. Babar Azam would now be keen to make an impact in the second innings and silence his critics in style. He did not have a great performance in the first match as he got a duck in the first innings and then managed 22 runs in the second innings.

This was Babar’s 15th innings without a half-century in the longest format of the game. The right-hander has faced a lot of criticism for his poor performances and has also seen a lot of people questioning his place in the team.

Coming into the match, Pakistan national cricket team was bowled out with just 274 runs. Saim Ayub (58) and Shan Masood (57) scored half-centuries and were the leading run-scorers for the team. In the end, Agha Salman (54) also scored a half-century and took the team to over 250 runs.
